Explanation

Use case diagram is used to show the different types of users who are communicating with the system in different numbers of ways. Also, it shows the various number of cases to the user in which the user can communicate with the system.  Also, it is known as the behavioral diagram because it shows the behavior of the user communication. But it will do not depict that how the user is going to communicate with the system. It will show the different number of cases in which the user can communicate with their system.

Items used for the graphical representation of use case diagrams are:

• • Actor – This will represent the user.
  • Use case – This will show the way of communication.
  • Communication link – It is used to show the link between user and system.

Now we will take an example of an Online Learning Management System.

Here the actors can be a student, a teacher, and an administration. And a student can log in/register for any course. Also, he can pay the fees and can add new learning materials. The student can track his progress and can freely ask any question if he has any doubts. Same as for a teacher or a mentor. A teacher can track the progress of a student. Also can take payments, provide study materials. And also clear the doubts of the student. Administration can have a track on both students as well as on teachers. So that teachers can concentrate on students can improve their performance.
